MMM Architects LLP – Radlett Place

Helical Staircase – Monolithic sculptural structure.
Diapo has been commissioned to be involved in the early design development stage for this feature main central staircase. The brief was to create a sculptural monolithic look. The whole structure is to be a combination of polish plaster render to the external face of the structure including under-soffit, while the internal run of treads and balustrade to be fully clad in exotic hard wood. Features include recess handrail and hidden lighting. Emphasis is mainly on creating a continuous and homogenous flow throughout the intricate details of the whole entity.
